Latest Kickstarter Update

Another month has raced by and we are coming ever closer to launch day. In this update we will bring you some news of our delivery date, we will take a look at some of the completed pages in the book as well as some amazing chapter headers, as well as catch up with some community events we have recently been involved in.

Delivery Update

As we have mentioned in previous updates, unfortunately because of our 3 week hiatus during the Kickstarter phase, we have had to delay each of the supplements and push their publication on by a month. This means that for those waiting for all four supplements will now receive them in Jan of next year rather than December 2017.

Despite this delay we were hoping that the core book could still be ready for distribution by the end of August. Unfortunately our window with our printers has gone and so, in essence, we have had to queue up for the next available slot. As a result of this our physical publication dates are currently September. This is a delay in the physical postage of the completed book, we are still expecting to email all the PDF's in August. We are truly sorry for this and will continue to keep you updated on our progress.

More Completed Sections

Our designer and artists have continued to produce some amazing work and the book is finally starting to take shape after being two years in the making. Below is an example of the double spread Chapter Headings for the book as well as a section from the character creation chapter.

Community Events - Lave Con and the 'Incident at Baijangu'

One of the top events in the Elite Dangerous annual calendar is LaveCon, a community led event held this year at Sedgebrook Hotel, Northampton. For those who don't know, EDRPG were joint sponsors and as a result we were able to hold a panel on the main stage on the Saturday evening.

During the panel we showed off a little of the design work, as you can see above and we recorded the fourth part of the RPG Podcast 'Incident at Baijangu'. This adventure saw some of the regular hosts from Lave Radio play their in game characters in an adventure GM'd by EDRPG lead writer Oliver Hulme.

In episode 4 the team wrestle with mean mercenaries and a bewildering array of biomods. Having recorded the final instalment we have asked to lovely people at Radio Theatre Workshops to add some of their magic and hopefully it will be ready for download as a podcast soon. If you haven't listened to EDRPG as a podcast then download the first three using the links below.

To listen to the first three episodes, download them from the Lave Radio website here.

We had an amazing time at LaveCon and offered a number of delegates an opportunity to play the full rules EDRPG for the first time.

Here Commander Wotherspoon from GalNet News is seen listening to the rules of the mini gun. Basically it is that big that you cant move and fire at the same time.

Robin Smith

We were also able to announce that joining our art team is a legend of the comic and graphic novel scene Robin Smith. Amongst many amazing projects, Robin was Art Editor on 2000AD for many years and for any fan of Judge Dredd, his work will be very familiar.

As soon as we have some images from Robin we will be sure to share them with you.

That's it for this months update. We will look to give you a further progress report this time next month and as always, if there is anything worth shouting about beforehand we will be sure to let you all know.

Many thanks

Jon & Oliver
